U.S. elite triathletes Seth Wealing and Susie Gallucci gave strong performances on Sunday at the Salford International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Cup in England.

The top-20 placing moved Wealing up from 72nd to 66th in the men's ITU world rankings.

Great Britain's Andrew Johns won the men's race, completing the 1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run in 1:53:50. Craig Watson of New Zealand was second in 1:53:53 and Martin Krnavek of Czech Republic was third in 1:54:00.
