KHOU Channel 11 news anchor Lisa Foronda checks in with this caution for anyone exercising at Memorial Park:

I am sure most of you've heard of the car break-ins at Memorial Park. HPD has extra patrols in the area to catch the bad guys in the act. One of the security guys (Bobby) out there works security for our station here at KHOU.

According to Bobby, last week, at the pool, as he and his partner watched over the parking lot, he saw some guy walking around TO EACH CAR AND LOOKING THROUGH THE WINDOWS -- including the windows of my own car!!! They had hoped to catch this guy in the act, but he saw them and took off.

Bobby walked over and looked in the windows himself. People had left cell phones, car keys.. you name it - in plain sight.

Bobby and his partner have already caught one guy trying to smash into a car at the park. The car owner had left his cell phone and wallet on the front seat, in plain sight.

Please, please, when you lock up before you run, lock up all your valuables in the glove box or the trunk. Or, better yet, don't bring them at all!
