Bruce Gennari of Nashville, Tenn., and Donna Kay-Ness of Enfield, Conn., were the men and women's overall winners at the USA Triathlon National Age Group Triathlon Championships on Saturday in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Gennari, 35, won the men's Olympic distance event in 1 hour, 57 minutes, 58 seconds. Kay-Ness, the reigning female amateur Ironman world champion and a world age-group champion, took her third straight national overall title, and fourth age-group title, in 2:10:15.

John Brockenbrough (Murrysville, Pa.), 43, was the men's masters winner and took third place overall in 1:59:10. Laura Sophiea (Pleasant Ridge, Mich.), 46, was the female masters winner in 2:19:12.

Bruce Buchanan (Fernandina Beach, Fla.), 61, won his sixth age- group title with his victory in the 60-64 category. Dick Robinson (Bonita, Calif.), 71, and Susan Bradley-Cox (Lexington, Ky.), 63, are also six-time national champions after each won a title Saturday.

Paula Larsen (Horicon, Wis.), 56, and Madonna Buder (Spokane, Wash.), 71, each won their fifth age-group championship.

Seven hundred and seventy-four athletes finished the race - 276 women and 498 men.
