The Dome Run is ordinarily one of my favorite races. This year's was the exception.

The parking situation was atrocious. According to the brochure we were to enter off Kirby but the signs on Kirby gave another entrance (oops, too late). Fifteen minutes after snaking through the parking lot I was able to get ready for the race.

The course could hardly have been more boring. Up and down Almeda? What happened to Main? It was flat, dull and boring.

Last year's rain fest was far more enjoyable than this year's race.

The course was longer than 6.2 miles. I measured mile 1 and mile 6. The distance was not accurate. It is really dissapointing to run a longer race than what it is supposed to be.

With inaccurate measurements on the mile markers, it was no more than a good workout and one that I had to pay for. It had ranked as one of my favorite races, but it will be the last time that I run it. Very disappointing.

I'm glad to see that others also thought the course was long. I felt I was running very consistent, but the first & last mile splits were strange. Anyway, the parking and course were a disapointment. I realize parts of Main Street are under construction, but too bad-running around the fountain makes the Dome Run one of the best 10K's around. Let's hope for the 'ol course back next year (properly marked).

This was my first time to run the Dome Run. The course was boring, the parking was confusing, and it was disappointing to not have the times logged. I run seven races locally a year and this one ranks last. Oh ya, the T-shirt is not one I will be wearing around town.

After the first mile, I was very surprised by my split. It was much slower than anticipated, so I decided to enjoy myself and coast. Ran my worse time ever. Now I am hearing the miles might be screwed up.

I don't mean to be all negative, I did enjoy myself and I appreciate the effort to put on the race.

That course was at least 6.4 miles long . . I think that we should ask for our money back . . you pay 18 dollars .. the least they could do is get the course and the markers right!!!

The course was definitely long, probably at least 2/10ths of a mile. I think we probably went out one median too far on mile 1 and then again coming back on mile 6. The reason the course had to move was because of all the construction on Main Street for the upcoming trolley. Not sure that they'll be able to go back to Main Street next year because of it. I still think the Dome Run is one of the better races around it's just unfortunate that that course got messed up!
