Runner Triathlete News accepts event results in PC format
(no Mac files, please -- we cannot convert) in the following
file types:
1. MS Excel (or comma-separated or tab-delimited)
2. ASCII text file (or "non-table" html file)
3. MS Word (this is our least favorite way to get results)
Results should be sorted into the age groups, beginning with the
youngest age group and proceeding to the oldest. Any individual,
masters, grandmasters, and/or senior winners should be listed as
such, as well as any other special category winners (i.e.
clydesdale/filly, wheelchair, etc.).
Results can be e-mailed to us at [email protected].
We also strongly encourage you to also provide a brief (3-5
paragraph) summary of the race and several photos (digital
images are fine) from the event. We will publish all of this
info -- generating additional exposure for your event and its
sponsors. We would like to receive the results by Sunday
evening for prompt posting.
In addition to posting to our web sites and printing the results
in our magazines, your event will also be promoted through our
weekly eNewsletter -- and we will also feature some events in
our weekly radio and web audio shows!
VERY IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTICES:
NOTE TO ALL TEXAS ROAD RACES: Both Runner Triathlete
News and Inside Texas Running are patrons of
TexStats, the official record-keeper for Texas State Road Racing
Records. We will submit your road race results to the state
record-keeper who will determine if any age-group or single-age
marks were set during your event. It is critical that we
receive complete results for all Texas road races, and those
results should indicate each finishers' age on race day (for
single-age state records). There are a number of new records
established nearly every weekend, both in large and small
events -- so do not assume that your event does not contain any
records, please submit complete results including the
participants' ages.
NOTE TO ALL USAT/SMW MULTI-SPORT EVENTS: Runner
Triathlete News will forward your results to the person in
charge of the USAT/SMW regional triathlon and duathlon
rankings. To have your results included in these rankings, you
must supply the USAT # for each finisher. Results without USAT
#s will not be ranked -- this will draw a great amount of ire
towards your event from the finishers.
NOTE TO ALL HOUSTON-AREA EVENTS: we also coordinate the
race results for the Houston Chronicle newspaper. We will
supply your results to the Chronicle in the proper format -- but
we must receive the results no later than 7:00 p.m. on Sunday
evening to get the results formatted and submitted to them by
their deadline.

Have a great event!
