ins; from post cards to brochures. Therefore, prices have to be
quoted. Advertisers will be expected to furnish enough pre-
printed inserts for the entire press run, be charged the B&W
page equivalent plus a special bindery handling charge. Contact

Special Issues: ANNUAL EVENT GUIDE is published in March
which lists all road races, marathons, multi-sport events,
adventure races, cycling and swimming events for the whole year
within the 5-state area of our distribution. Also included in
this keeper issue are the road racing records and a kaleidoscope
review of the previous years' activities. Deadline for space
reservation is January 25th. Advertising material must be in by
February 5th.
Issuance & Closing: Published 12 times each year and
mailed for receipt on the first of the month. Closing date for
scheduling and printing material is the 5th of the month
preceding the date month of issue.
Cancellations: No cancellations will be accepted after
closing dates. Notification of cancellations prior to closing
date must be made in writing.
Frequency & Combination Discounts: Advertisers will
receive the lowest frequency rate based on the total number of
insertions during the contract period counting space used in
both Runner Triathlete News (RTN) and Inside Texas
Running (ITR). A contract period is a 12-month period which
begins from the first insertion. One-sixth page is the minimum
rate-holder space unit for earning frequency discounts. For a
multiple page ad, each page counts as one insertion.
Without a signed contract an advertiser will not be rebated
for earlier insertions upon reaching certain frequency levels,
but will be charged at the lowest qualified frequency rate for
the current insertions.
Short Rates: Advertisers who use less than their
specified contracted amount will be rebilled an additional
charge adjusted to the rate actually earned.
Dual Discount: Advertisers placing the same ad in both
RTN & ITR the same month or successive months will
receive an additional 10% discount off their qualified frequency
discount.
Ad Preparation: For typesetting and ad layout services
there will be a charged fee. Other services required to meet
specifications or advertiser demands, including furnishing
proofs, will be billed at prevailing rates.
Bleeds or Oversize page ads: No charge. Applies to full
pages only, 1/4 inch over trim size.
PAYMENT & COMMISSIONS
All accounts are due within 30 days of invoice date. A 5%
discount will be allowed on all ads pre-paid prior to
publication.
Agency Commissions: A 15% commission of gross billing
on all "general" advertising is allowed to recognized agencies.
Agencies are extended credit on the condition that they accept
full responsibility and liability for payment according to
generally accepted credit terms.
