USA Triathlon annual members now have preferred registration status at two premier triathlons in the country - The 2008 Chicago Accenture Triathlon and the 2008 Nautica New York City Triathlon.

Through an Easy Access Pass program, members will receive exclusive access to both events' registration websites a full 48 hours before they are opened to the general public. The Easy Access Pass will allow the first 2,000 USAT members in each event to register during those two days.

"This is great news, as registration for both of these events typically fills up within a few days," said John Korff of Korff Enterprises, organizers of the NYC Triathlon. "We are happy to be able to offer this program to USAT members. This is our way of saying 'thanks' to USAT and their members for supporting our races."

General registration for Chicago opens on October 1, but USAT members will be able to access the site at 12:01 a.m. EST on September 29.

USAT will send specific details about how to register for the Chicago Triathlon with the Easy Access Pass in its next NewsWire e-newsletter on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

General registration for New York City opens on November 1, with USAT members getting access at 12:01 a.m. EST on October 30. More details for that race will be sent in the USAT Community Matters member e-newsletter on Monday, Oct. 29.
