USA Triathlon Forums now open
March 24, 2005

USA Triathlon has announced that its web site forum is now up and operational.

The creation of this forum was mandated by the Bylaw Petition that was passed by the USAT membership last July. The USA Triathlon staff and Board of Directors believe the idea of having a forum is excellent and are looking forward to using it to communicate with USAT members.

This forum will now allow USA Triathlon annual members not only to share thoughts and opinions with other members, but also to let USA Triathlon know what it is doing right and wrong, and how it can better serve its members.

To visit the forums, go to www.readybb.com/usatriathlon. You must register, with a current USA Triathlon member number, in order to be allowed to post in the forums. To register, click on the word "register" on the top row of links on the front page.

USA Triathlon numbers and expiration are required for registration and WILL NOT be seen by the general public (even though there is a default statement that says they will be). Other information, such as your birth date, is voluntary and does not have to be entered.

USA Triathlon staff will do its best to monitor the forum. Profane or threatening postings will be taken down and those who posted them will be warned or removed from the forum. However, administrators will not remove postings that lead to lively discussion or debate.

There are several "locked" forums for certain interest groups including race directors, Board of Directors members, USAT certified coaches and elite/pro athletes. Only members of these groups will be allowed to post in these forums and see what has been posted.
