Peter Skorseth of Baldwin, Wis., and Gabriele Hauck of Savannah, Ga., were the overall men's and women's winners at the 2005 USA Triathlon Age Group Long Distance Duathlon Championships on Sunday at the Great Buckeye Challenge in Waynesville, Ohio.

Competitors completed a 5.5-mile run, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1-mile run. The top three finishers in each age group qualified for the 2006 ITU Long Course Duathlon World Championships.

Skorseth, 43, who was the 2004 Minnesota Multi-Sport Duathlete of the Year, finished in 4 hours, 13 minutes and 12.92 seconds. Hauck, 35, a three-time duathlon All-American, finished in 4:54:38.99.

Among the men, Kyle Fredin (Longmont, Colo.), 35, placed second overall in 4:23:47.67 and Richard Bailey (Raleigh, N.C.), 37, was third in 4:28:19.91.

In the women's race, Lisa Menninger (La Grange, Ill.), 40, was second behind Hauck in 5:02:00.16 and Melanie Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.), 40, was third in 5:07:09.69.
