Nominations for appointments to the 2005 USA Triathlon Board of Directors from three districts are due to the USAT National Office by July 11, 2005.

The nominees will be voted on by members of the Board of Directors who were elected by the membership in March 2005 and will be seated on July 1.

Two districts - Heartland and Northeast - did not have anyone run for election. Steve Meckfessel, who was to represent the Florida district, has stepped down and must be replaced.

The districts that may submit nominees are:

No. 3: Florida

No. 5: Heartland (Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee)

No. 7: Northeast (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island)

Any annual USA Triathlon member who wishes to run for the Board of Directors seat in his/her district must submit the following to the USAT National Office by July 11, 2005.

1. The name, complete address, day and evening phone numbers, e-mail address and annual membership number of the nominee.

2. A written description of the nominee and his/her platform. This description shall not exceed 1,000 words

3. A passport type photo of the nominee; either a hard copy or a high-resolution digital photo is acceptable.
